Poll: Americans still leery of Obama health care law

Another poll, more bad news for President Obama’s .

An NBC News/Wall Street Journal survey says 49% of Americans say the care plan is a bad idea — the highest number on that question since the poll began asking it in 2009.

Thirty-seven percent say Obama’s Act is a good idea.

Before health care insurance exchanges come on line this year, the administration is busy promoting the benefits of the new system.

Obama plans to weigh in Friday during a trip to San Jose, asserting that his plan is already leading to lower in California.

The president will “highlight the promising news that despite dire predictions, early data on insurance competition and in the state show that ACA — the Affordable Care Act — is creating quality, affordable choices for Californians who plan to buy insurance this fall,” Jay Carney said.

More from the poll, via NBC News:

“For individuals, the current poll also finds 38% of saying that they (and their families) will be worse off under the health care law. That’s the highest percentage of to express a toward ‘Obamacare’ since 2010, when the president signed this of legislation into law following an extended, bruising battle in Congress.

“By comparison, 19 percent say they’ll be better off, and 39 percent say the law won’t make much of a difference.”
